NO DIRTY DIESEL GENERATORS

World global warming is an issue that can't be ignored and we are demonstrating the practical application of renewable energy and what can be achieved using it. Our sound and LED lighting come from a clean resource for a guilt free, emission free event.

• Solar panels take in the suns energy which is sent to the batteries.
• Before it gets to the batteries it is regulated by a solar power point tracker.
• It is then stored in our 24volt deep cycle battery storage. This is made up of 12 2volt batteries linked together.
• The batteries output through a pure sine wave inverter which converts the stored power from 24v DC to 240v AC, which is what comes out from any plug socket in a house.

The system is one of only a few in Australia and is extremely powerful despite what the sceptics will tell you. The battery pack can be compared to a 6KVA generator, though the length of operational time is dertemined by the entire load. The inverter is rated to 3300 watts constant and 8700 watts peak. We arrive on site with the batteries full to ensure that we do not run short of power so whilst we do recover some energy during the event from our solar panels, we are not reliant solely on this. The batteries when full hold 40KWh, which is equivalent to 1700 amperes. This will run our 6 KW sound system for roughly 40 hours at very high volume to give you a general idea of the amount of power available. Another advantage of the battery pack over a generator is that it is completely silent. Most film silenced generators run at around 50 decibels.
