About Our Domes
The Dome is a low impact structure. The diameter of the dome is a massive 13.5m and stands 6.75 m high at it's central point with no internal poles or external guy ropes which provides a completely open area for entertainment. The structure is fully engineer certified and complies to the building code of Australia. Our Eventlite canopy is fully waterproof and meets Australian fire retardency regulations. In addition to that it is light permeable allowing projections and lighting to be viewed both inside and out which is a unique feature in temporary structures.
R Buckminster Fuller who is acreddited with engineering the first geodesic dome saw how all life is made up of spherical patterns from the atom to the solar systems. Through these observations he was convinced of the fundamental geometry of creation itself. The geodesic domes he designed are a half sphere emulating this pattern of life, which is why people are drawn to them and why they feel so comfortable in and around them.
The frame of the dome is strong enough to hold most sound and lighting equipment, 113KG can be rigged from any single point.
